DATEV eG Position Papers

As the IT cooperative for tax advisors, auditors and lawyers with the specific knowledge of 2.5 million small and medium-sized companies, DATEV has great expertise in the digitalization of business processes. It is our responsibility to incorporate this knowledge into the political process.

As a cooperative, DATEV eG stands for certain values and responsibility. Instead of short-term capital interests, users benefit from our long-term potential support. Ecological, economic and social sustainability are at the forefront of all our activities. This guarantees the long-term business success of both our members and ourselves. These values also guide us in our political work.

We believe, responsible representation of interests can only be based on transparency and coherence. Accordingly, we publish all our position papers. We coherently advocate our policy positions and demands in the political process. We support the introduction of a mandatory transparency register both at EU and national levels. In the EU Transparency Register we can be found under the number 5027241291-41.

Our Work

The mission of the Berlin and Brussels Offices consists of: · Monitoring and analysis of national and EU activities · Providing information on relevant national and EU policies for the DATEV community · Dialogue with representatives of national and European institutions · Dialogue and cooperation with relevant associations and other stakeholders · Introduction of DATEV-specific topics and issues into the political process

DATEV eG Position Papers

The positions and demands that DATEV coherently advocates in the political process result from our position papers. DATEV’s position papers exclusively include the perspective of our company as a professional IT services provider and are thus submitted independently from positions established by professional organisations such as chambers and associations.
